May 31, 2019, 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm at Cultivate Jax, 2766 Park Street, Jacksonville, FL
Join two veteran folk songwriters for songs and stories at Jacksonville's cultural community hub, Cultivate! This event is family friendly, and will be an opportunity to sit back, relax and listen to the full spectrum of Americana music with lyrical topics everyone can relate to._____________ Nicholas Edward Williams, formerly known as 'Whetherman', made his mark as a songwriter in Jacksonville before touring full-time for over three years living on the road, across nine countries, over 1000 shows, and eight albums. His music has shifted since ending the Whetherman project in 2018, with influences from guitar legends like Doc Watson, songwriting from John Prine and vocals of Paul Simon shining through. His first album under the new project "As I Go Ramblin' Around" is slated to release in June of 2019._____________ Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Isaac Smith is hard to pin down as an artist. Steeped in Southern culture, trained in classical music, and raised on the pews of his father's church he blend's all of these elements into his live performances. Expect to hear soulful re-imaginings, roots rock, pop, and you may even catch a hymn from his youth. There is no denying his southern soulful influences.
